Visit to Kalapatthar is another attraction of EBC Trek. Kalapatthar offers the best view of Mount Everest. Everest Base Camp trekking route continues through forest of blooming rhododendron and other alpine flowers which is a heaven for bird watching. We can spot lophophorus and Munal in the forest of Khumbu region. We will also face the challenges of glacial moraines and take close look in the lifestyle of legendary Sherpa people.
Everest Base Camp Trekking has been devised to complete in 14days including your arrival and departure day. Full attention has been given to include enough acclimatization in the trek. You will be led by our expert guide who is fluent in English.
14days EBC Trek begins with flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. We will walk through Sagarmatha National Park and settlements at Phakding, Namche, Tengboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep to EBC and return back to Lukla before taking flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu Airport & Transfer to Hotel.
Day 02:Kathmandu to Lukla by Flight & Trek to Phakding (2652m).
Day 03:Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446m).
Day 04:Rest Day in Namche Bazaar.
Day 05:Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867m).
Day 06:Tengboche to Dingboche (4260m).
Day 07:Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m).
Day 08:Lubuche to EBC (5364m) to Gorak Shep
Day 09:Trek to Lobuche (4930m) via Kala Patthar (5545m).
Day 10:Lubuche to Pangboche.
Day 11:Pangboche to Namche Bazaar.
Day 12:Namche Bazaa to Lukla.
Day 13:Lukla to Kathmandu by flight.
Day 14:Final Departure.
Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu Airport & Transfer to Hotel. On arrival at Tribhuwan Int’l Airport in Kathmandu, you will warmly greet by our representative. Then transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu. We will brief about yours activities in Nepal. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02Kathmandu to Lukla by Flight & Trek to Phakding (2652m).We will take 35minutes of Kathmandu Lukla flight to reach Tenzing Hilary Airport at Lukla. We can get close up views of Gaurishankar, Langtang, Lhotse and Nuptse and many other mountains throughout the flight. Kwangde Peak Climbing trek begins at Lukla. We will walk along the left bank of Dudh Koshi River and pass through Ghat to Phakding.
Day 03Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446m).From Phakding, we will reach Jhorsalle. We will traverse the forest of blooming rhododendrons and reach the top of the ridge that offers views of Kusum Kanggru (6369m), Thamserku (6608m), Mt. Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879m) mountains. We will move through settlements at Benkar and Monjo to Namche Bazaar.
Day 04Rest Day in Namche Bazaar.We will take rest from our expedition at Namche Bazaar. This is a necessary procedure for elevating the risk of high altitude sickness. There will be sharp increase in an altitude from Namce Bazaar onwards. We can either walk through the bustling Namche Bazaar or explore the nearby Khumjung, Khunde or Thame villages.
Day 05Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867m). Trek begins through the forest. We can spot musk deer in the woods. We will take 5hrs of walk through Kayangjuma and Sansa to Phuki Thengna from where we will follow3 the descending trail to Tengboche village. We can get panoramic views of Kwongde (6187m), Tawache (6542 m), Everest (8,848 m), Nuptse (7855m), Lhotse (8618m), Amadablam (6856m) and Thamserku (6608m) from Tengboche. Tengboche Monastery is the largest Monastery in Khumbu region.
Day 06Tengboche to Dingboche (4260m). Leaving Tengboche, we will head towards Pheriche. We can get panoramic views of mountains from the ridge in Pheriche. From the ridge, we will descend to Lobuche River and then take the escalating trail from the edge of the river to reach Dingboche where we will stay overnight.
Day 07Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m). We will walk through the beautiful Khumbu Khola Valley. Journey continues through boulders and ridges to Dusa from where the trail rises to Phulung Karpo. We need to cross the rhododendron woods to reach Dughla. From Dughla, we will walk to Lobuche. We will enjoy the views of Nuptse, Thamserku and Cholatse peaks from Lobuche.
Day 08Lubuche to EBC (5364m) to Gorak Shep Trek on 8th day continues through Khumbu Glacier. We will pursue the scenic path which offers views of Pumori, Khumutse and Nuptse mountains. Couple of hours later, we will reach Thangma Riju. Continuing further, we will reach Changri Glacier. We can get the very first view of Kala Patthar from the glacier. Walking further, we will arrive at Everest Base Camp (EBC) from where we can get views of Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori Mountains. Later, we will return to Gorakshep where we will stay in a camp.
Day 09Trek to Lobuche (4930m) via Kala Patthar (5545m). We will begin our trek early in the morning as we would hate to miss the sunrise view over Everest from Kalapatthar. Although Kalapatthar is more popular as a spot for sunset view, it also offers great sunrise view. After sunrise view from Kalapatthar, we will return to Lobuche through Gorakshep.
Day 10Lubuche to Pangboche.7hrs of trek from Lobuche will take us back to Pangboche. It is going to be an easy trek as the journey continues mostly downhill. Pangboche is a culturally rich village where people are adopting thousands of years old culture. Agriculture and animal farming are major profession of people in Pangboche. We will stay overnight at Pangboche Village.
Day 11Pangboche to Namche Bazaar. Crossing the forest of rhododendrons, junipers and other alpine flowers, we will descend to Phunki Thanga. From Phuki Thanga, we will reach Army Camp where our permit will be checked. We will take descending trail further to Namche Bazaar where we will stay overnight.
Day 12Namche Bazaa to Lukla. The trail lowers down from the hill and continues to Phakding. We will cross Dudhkoshi River and reach Lukla after seven hours of walk. We will stay in Hotel in Lukla and prepare ourselves to board a flight back to Kathmandu on the next day.
Day 13Lukla to Kathmandu by flight.We will catch early morning flight and return to Kathmandu from Lukla. 30minutes of flight will take us back to Kathmandu. The representative will take us to Hotel in Kathmandu where we will stay overnight.
Day 14Final Departure.Today is your last day of Nepal. According to your flight details we will give good bye departure to Tribhuwan int’l airport in Kathmandu for your own destination. Or you can connect for another trip with us.
